John Coltrane – Blue Train - MONO FIRST PRESS LP!
1957 U.S mono press. This pressing has no ® on the label, or Inc. in the back cover with the following attributes:
- blue/white deep groove Blue Note Records - 47 West 63rd - New York 23 on Side 1 and Blue Note Records - 47 West 63rd - NYC on Side 2;
Sleeve is G with some peeling around the tip-on edges but no seam splitting. There is scuffing and small tear around the lower portion of the front of sleeve. The back has marker writing in the upper left that says "RIT2"
Disc appears G/G+ with many visible scratches and marks but it plays considerably well. Yes there is some surface noise and light crackle at very beginning and between tracks but overall it is overpowered by the band and often sounds VG+ and never skipped jumped or ticked thought the record.
